MaxD5 Password Cracker

MaxD5 is my open source PHP password cracker. It is a brute forcer that cracks MD5, DES & SHA1. It is a command line based console script just like any perl script that you would use. So if you never used PHP as a console based app or you just didnt know you could do it in the first place, this script is a good example of how to do it. MaxD5 has 6 available character sets and more info on how to use it can be found in the README.txt in the download. MaxD5 isn't as good as JTR nor will it ever be, it was just a project I started for fun, so if you find a good use for it & modify the code into something awesome, let me know ;). You can find downloads for all the releases starting with release #5 (which was the latest at the time of creating this website). Also, check out the screen shot for an example of how it runs!
